Our Story
Inspiration and Legacy: The business is named after the owner, Wendy Moore's, late mother, Daisy. Daisy loved to bake, and her pound cake recipe was particularly special. After her mother passed away, Wendy's love for the recipe "grew deeper."
The Beginning: Wendy started her bakery business out of her home in LaGrange Park after her friends urged her to sell her mother's favorite pound cake. She learned to bake the cake by her mother's side. Pound Cakes: This is where the business started. The shop aims to keep the "two legacies alive" (her mother's recipes and the local community's ice cream spot). Wendy, who is a mother of three, hopes Daisy's will be a trustworthy business and a place where young people feel comfortable spending time, focusing on building relationships and giving back to the community.
